Since 1607, The Bulls Head has stood at the heart of Old Glossop, welcoming locals, travellers and generations of guests through its doors. What began as a traditional country pub has become part of the character and heritage of the village, carrying its history forward while continuing to evolve.

Today, The Bulls Head is proudly independently run, with a simple belief: great food, genuine hospitality and a place that feels like home.

We have brought a modern approach to the traditional gastropub, creating dishes with care, quality ingredients and a passion for good cooking. Our menu combines comforting favourites with refined, beautifully presented dishes — giving our guests something a little special while keeping the welcoming spirit of a proper pub.

A proper pub also deserves a proper pint. We proudly serve a selection of real ales, carefully chosen to complement our food and keep alive the traditional character of The Bulls Head.
